Lagom is a celebration of the people who make a living from their passion. From entrepreneurs to artists, from chefs to baristas, we explore the journeys they’ve taken to embark upon their ventures.

But, of course, we understand that a significant part of that journey begins outside the workplace. Great ideas, creativity, and innovation come far more frequently from the quiet moments we spend outside our working lives, so we think it’s important to also celebrate those spaces and times in between.

Lagom is very much about finding the right balance; a balance between work and play; a balance between taking the time to be productive and taking the time to recharge your batteries in order to fuel that productivity; a balance of activity and stillness.

Sidonie Warren and Kyle Clarke of design agency Something Good wanted a new project. That project was Something Else, a paper goods shop directly attached to the design studio. We asked them about the challenges and rewards of balancing client work with serving customers.

Erik Spiekermann might have recently retired from running Edenspiekermann and FontShop, but his version of retirement is somewhat different to most: he’s decided to go back to his roots and has founded the letterpress workshop P98a in Berlin.
